Data Protection Policy in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation

At the Neue Oper Wien, the protection of your data and the safeguarding of your online security are of paramount importance to us, and we are committed to complying with legal requirements whilst ensuring they are in harmony with our resources. To this end, we provide the following information regarding the Neue Oper Wien’s data protection policy:

Personal Data

When you subscribe to an email newsletter, our postal mailings or similar, you are choosing to provide us with personal data for that specific purpose. We may then contact you regarding matters relating to the Neue Oper Wien, depending on the details you have provided: by telephone, text message, post and/or email.

The Neue Oper Wien complies with both the provisions of Austrian data protection legislation and the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Your personal information will not be sold, rented out or passed on to third parties for their purposes. As a matter of principle, we do not pass on personal data to external individuals or organisations.

We respect your wish not to be contacted by the Neue Oper Wien.

Please inform us of your wish to unsubscribe (tel.: 0043 1 218 25 67 or by email to office@neueoperwien.at).

Covid-19

As part of the ticket sales process, we are required to store your contact details for potential contact tracing in the event that a visitor contracts Covid-19. These details will only be accessed if necessary and made available to the Vienna Health Authority. In accordance with the GDPR, your data will be retained for a maximum of 28 days after the event you attended and will then be destroyed.

Cookies

The Neue Oper Wien occasionally uses cookies to exchange information about the options you have selected between individual subpages whilst you are visiting our website. For example, during the ticket booking process for our events.

A cookie is a small file sent by the web server to your internet browser and stored on your computer. Cookies and similar technologies are also used to facilitate certain processes, services and transactions. You can configure your browser so that a warning appears on the screen before a cookie is stored, or so that cookies cannot be set at all; this means you may also choose not to benefit from personalised cookies. In this case, certain services may not be available. By using our website and enabling cookies in your browser settings, you consent to the use of cookies.

Further information on how to prevent cookies from being stored on your computer can be found in the help section of the browser you are using.

Web analytics / usage data

When you visit our website, the relevant web server records non-personal usage data which provides information on the main navigation paths through the site, pages/URLs accessed, activities by time of day and duration of visit. The usage data is analysed internally for statistical purposes in order to adapt our website to users’ needs. We do not analyse information in log files (files in which access to web content is logged) relating to your IP address (the numerical identifier of your computer on the internet). Consequently, usage data is never linked to personal data. Visitors to the site remain anonymous.

Video Plugin / YouTube

To enable us to present content to you in the form of moving images, the Neue Oper Wien uses YouTube as a channel for videos. These videos are embedded on the site. This means that information, such as which videos are viewed, is transmitted back to YouTube.

Facebook and Twitter

To make it easy for you to stay up to date with the latest news, you will find icons with links to Facebook and Twitter on the Neue Oper Wien website and in our newsletter. If you click on these links, you will be redirected to our respective profiles on these platforms, and from that point onwards, these platforms will track your activities. Please note the terms of use and privacy policies of these platforms if you access these services via our icons/links!
